SSD: Sidestep and Blinking
AI is in a decent state for a good weeks work and I'm ready to put up a build with some AI you can go watch fight or spawn yourself.
Today I wanted to mess a bit with movement. FL was pretty barebones and kinda boring sometimes when it came to combat. Mods definitely spiced things up but making NPC's use nanobots and shield bots just made the fights take even longer and sometimes they were even more boring.
The most basic things I protoyped today were blink and sidestep. Essentially the same thing but in different directions.
The sidestep ability was in prior builds but was buggy and not intended to be used. This version adds a bit of force over a period of time, giving smoother movement rather than applying an impulse immediately.
Blink looks rough but just needs some vfx. Also using the newer Unity free explosion as a placeholder instead of the old one. Looks better!
